I’m puzzled, particularly by the person who had trouble with a FrancisFrancis machine. I have 2 X5 machines and these fit perfectly in both. Did they send a defective batch? Does your machine need to be broken down and cleaned? If I dont keep the more tempermental of my two machines spotless, it rewards me with symptoms as some reviewers mention. That being said, this is the best price around for Lavazza ESE pods. A nice espresso without the harsh toast.

A fine espresso with a nutty aftertaste with an excellent & consistent crema for a very good value.

This is the best price for Espresso pods on the market

and you are getting Lavazza coffee.

It works well with my Secco Espresso machine.

A good value, but not a very strong blend for expresso. Almost tasteless when used to make cappuccino with any type of flavoring.

Regretfully, these pods don't work in my brand new Ariete Cafe Prestige espresso machine. All I get is colored water. Yuk!!

I know the pods are the problem because the machine makes wonderful espresso using the coffee beans I roast at home. I had hoped to use the Lavazza pods to avoid the mess of using loose coffee grounds.

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of buying 150 of them from Amazon and now I can't return them. I tried using them to make American coffee but the results were just as bad. I also tried cutting the pods open and using the ground coffee inside to make espresso. That didn't work either.

What a dissappointment.
